KBMax offers numerous benefits over other configurator software.
Learn what separates KBMax from the competition below:
- Multiple CAD Platforms
- PDM Integration
- No Database Required
- Web-Enabled
- Nested Configurator Functionality
- VB.NET Rule Language
- Extensibility
- Live Feature Additions
- Proactive Training & Support
- Localization
- Modern User Interface
KBMax integrates with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks (with more CAD systems coming soon). Many companies use multiple CAD systems across different product lines. Customers or projects often require native CAD models in separate formats. KBMax guarantees secure design knowledge capture and re-use across all these major CAD platforms.

Unlimited PDM Integration
KBMax currently supports DBWorks and PDM Works Enterprise, but KBMax can support any other PDM system.

No Database Required
While KBMax easily connects to existing company databases, it does not require a large back-end database to operate. KBMax uses a flexible file based system that eliminates costly man hours spent on network administration and SQL Server maintenance.
Web Enabled
KBMax version 2 allows users to submit configuration files over the web. Citius can host the server that will turn those files into full CAD models with all required manufacturing outputs. Salesman in the field or customer end users will not need expensive CAD software to input configurations with KBMax.

Nested Configurators
Just like 3D CAD models can nest within other models, configurators in KBMax can nest within other KBMax configurators. This allows users to create simple and discrete configurators for individual product parts. If your company makes gear boxes, a KBMax configurator can be constructed for a single gear. This gear configurator can then be referenced by other configurators that might use this gear, such as the gear box configurator. This nesting function saves major engineering man hours.

VB Net Rule Language
Other configurator software requires users to learn proprietary rule languages that can't be transferred to other systems. KBMax uses the world's most popular programming language Visual Basic .NET to drive it's rules .
All of the standard complications of code development are handled by KBMax, allowing the user to focus on simple equations and directives that define the product. KBMax users do not need to be a computer programmers.

Extensibility
KBMax allows users complete customization of not just rules but our entire interface. The KBMax engine has it's own Microsoft .NET API that can be referenced by other applications, allowing for integration with any other business system your company uses. This also allows for completely custom user interfaces for your KBMax configurators.

Proactive Training & Support
Citius vows to never let KBMax users get stuck.
KBMax Create seats get 3 hours monthly of live online webinar support directly with our technicians and development team. This time can be spent on training, help with your configurator project, or even CAD modeling.
Users also get access to our interactive web portal including a full support ticket system and frequently updated user forums.

Live Feature Additions
Citius developers are always looking for input on how to make KBMax better. If a user needs a new feature that KBMax does not currently offer, we can quickly send you custom code to enable that feature. Users do not have to wait for new versions to get the functionality they need now.

Localization: A Global Approach
KBMax supports all major languages and allows the user to setup multi-lingual interface for their own configurators. Multinational companies and cross border projects have a global configurator platform.

Modern User Interface
KBMax consulted graphic designers and utilized Windows Presentation Foundation to provide a sleek and modern user interface for both the desktop and web. You can refine the KBMax interface further using your own custom skins and color schemes.
